Egypt is known primarily for its deserts, pyramids, and the Nile River, which is the 2nd longest river in the world running 4,135 miles. But there are so many other interesting things about ancient and modern Egypt, here are just some of them.


  • Ancient Egyptians needed to predict when the Nile would flood which led to them being the first people to have a year consisting of 365 days divided into 12 months. Based on the solar and lunar cycles. They also invented clocks.
